My Landyn started back at school last week and just like that we entered into our final year of preschool. I don’t know why I get so sappy with the start of each new school year. Maybe its just the official marker of another year older, it’s a hard one you guys. Birthdays and new school years… full on sap mode over here.
I tried to put off the back to school prep for as long as possible (and have yet to go clothes shopping) so I set my alarm extra early Tuesday morning and I fire drilled it… picked out first day outfits, dusted off her back pack, and signed off on school forms. Oh and that little red backpack serves absolutely no purpose at our preschool.. in fact it was empty. It just seemed right for the first day and she looked darn cute wearing it.
Parents got to stay for a few minutes for a quick meet and greet, and then in true Landyn fashion she migrated to the circle of girls and didn’t look back. She’s got this.
The momma’s got souvenirs from the school. We are all one in the same. Amen.
So far so good. Saturday there was a minor breakdown when I had to explain this no school on weekends thing to her. And to think one day those weekends won’t come soon enough.
I’m going to soak up this preschool thing up. Next year, kindergarden.

lol….DIED laughing about the empty backpack! so cute! It’s kinda like me at 29—I have NO CLUE what’s in my purse…I just shove stuff in there to make it look important—I found one of Kena’s shoes in there the other day!
Love you!
