There’s so many brands out there that inspire me. And then there is a handful that I try to model myself after. Freshly Picked is one of them.

If you follow along in the blog world, I’m certain you know of this darling shop. Freshly Picked is taking “moccasins” to a whole new level. They are gracing the covers of BIG magazines and are spotted on celebrity kiddies. And to think a busy stay at home momma started this company during nap time and after her kids were tucked into their beds. So inspiring. Here’s a little bit of her story in her own words…

I’ve always wanted to be a mother and have a career. And after having my two children I was more determined than ever to make it happen. A friend of mine told me she was going to make “stuff” and sell it online. It seemed like as good of an idea as any, especially considering I come from a line of makers. So I taught myself how to sew and got started. I called myself, “Freshly Picked” and set up an online shop. I was able to experiment with more products and eventually land on an item I was proud to sell: a leather baby moccasin. Working at my kitchen table with my shoestring budget, I made lots of different versions of the soft-soled shoe until I had one that was both adorable and functional. I’d like to say things, “snowballed” but that’s just not the case. I hustled, and HUSTLED at craft shows and began networking and dipping my toe into the game of public relations. All of our moccasins are still made in the USA.

Today my friends at Freshly Picked are giving away a pair of moccasins to one lucky reader.

Winner picks the color. My Landyn has the limited edition platinum moccasins. Available up to children’s size 10.

My go to dinner recipie is as follows: I take and boil red potatoes. After that I chop them up and put them in a pan with olive oil, seasoning (I use salt, pepper, garlic salt, onion powder, lemon pepper seasoning, and soul food seasoning) then I top it off with butter. I then bake them in the oven at 425* until most of them are crispy looking. Then enjoy. My husband and 18 month old son LOVE them. We eat them at least once a week

My go to dinner recipe is a casserole my grandma made me right after I had my first baby. It is a layer of thinly sliced (no need to peel) potatoes, sliced onions, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, cheese, and then a pound of ground hamburger or turkey spread out in the pan, followed by another layer of potatoes, onion, beans, soup, and cheese. Bake at 350-375 until potatoes are cooked through and everything is warm and bubbly!! It’s so yummy. It takes about an hour to bake because of the potatoes 🙂

My little man needs more, there are so many fun colors! I am following you and Freshly picked! My favorite go to recipe is pizza rolls! I just take a can of Pillsbury crescent rolls, unroll them, put a few slices of pepperoni and a piece of cheese in it, roll it up, and brush it with butter and some Italian seasoning. Bake them at 350 for about 10 minutes and you are good to go! We dip them in pizza sauce. Easy peasy and so yummy – a kid and husband pleaser!

My absolute go to dinner recipe is baked salmon over steam rice. I usually split the salmon, one side with roasted chopped garlic mixed with mayo, musterd, fresh sliced lemon on top & salt/pepper. The other side is exact same but with no lemon instead sprinkled with Japanese furikaki seasoning. Baked at 375 for 15 mins and so yummy!

My family’s all time favorite go to dinner is Crock Pot Beef and Broccoli. I like it because I always have the ingredients in the pantry, minus the broccoli ; ). It’s super fast and easy to make…You just take 1 lb of any inexpensive steak and slice it into thin strips. I usually use round steak. Put it in your crock pot. Mix together 1 cup beef broth, 1/2 c soy sauce, 1/3 c brown sugar or honey, 1 T sesame oil, 3 cloves minced garlic and poor over your beef strips. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours. At the very end of the cooking time, pull out 2 T of the cooking liquid and stir in 2 T cornstarch. Pour back into crock pot and let thicken. Also at this time you also toss in 2 cups of broccoli florets gently steamed. Serve over rice….it’s soooo yummy ; )!

My absolute fav go to dinner time meal is spaghetti & meatballs. I season the meat with lots of Italian herbs and spices add an egg and some Panko and I bake them as a healthier option. Like my spaghetti al dente & the sauce is made with lots of tomatoes, garlic cloves and more herbs for lots of flavor! I’ve recently started to purée veggies (celery, carrots, onions & mushrooms) and add to the sauce for a great balanced meal for the fam but especially for my son.

This is so awesome! I’m so in love with Freshly Picked. My go to dinner recipe right now is Mexican Tinga! It’s so easy and simple, and it’s one of the main dinners I crave right with my pregnancy. It’s shredded chicken cooked with chipotle sauce and onions on top of a tostada. I like to put sour cream on the tostada first, but it’s also good with out. You can also top it off with some lettuce and dices tomatoes, just depends on how you like it. 🙂

My go to dinner recipe would have to be baked lemon pepper chicken breasts w/ homemade garlic mashed potatoes, & fresh grilled asparagus!!!! I am following you on IG and Pinterest. I also liked your Facebook page as well as Susan and I am currently following her on IG. I have reposted the picture above twice.

What I LOVE about Freshly Picked besides her amazing moccs, is that fact that she has the best customer service as well as the best Feshly Picked Enthusiastics that are always helping others find the perfect fit of moccs. FP moccs are literally the only shoes my little one likes to wear, yes he wears tenis shoes and other brands but oh boy wherever I go I have to carry a pair of moccs because he will want to take his regular shoes off. That’s how much he LOVES them! I prefer leather over suede, but my little one is okay as log as they are Freshly Picked Moccs!

Thank you for this opportunity to win the most amazing moccs ever!
Love you Susan and the FP team that makes it possible for my little one to wear such AWESOME moccs! And love you too for this opportunity!<3

[Our to go meal is whole wheat pasta with chicken. And on the side a veggie salad] Mmmm!

Awesome giveaway! I just bought a pair for my 4month old son and abs love them!
I just started following you on instagram! Ig name @valentinosmommy

My go to recipe is chimichangas! Its life a fried burrito 🙂 boil about 3 chicken breast, one large white onion, and a garlic clove when the chicken if fully cooked you shred it into pieces.
Once that’s done. U dice one big tomato and cut one onion in circles…cook in corn/olive oil until the tomato and onions are a little soft than you mix in the shredded chicken and let that cook for about 10 min(covered).. once the chicken looks pinkish because of the tomato its time to make the chimisA

Grab one flour tortilla (uncooked) and place a spoonful of the chicken in rhe center of the tortilla than put some chihuahua on top of the chicken. Wrap tortilla like u would a burrito and dip fry until the tortilla turns Brown on both sides.

Sorry if this recipe is unclear.. its my first time giving any of my recipes away

Gosh, I need these moccs so badly! My go-to recipe is an alfredo. I simply brown my onions with garlic, add bacon, some oregano and some salt and pepper. I then add my drained penne into the mixture, stir it around, add a large handful of grated cheddar cheese and 250ml (we work in milliliters in South Africa) of fresh cream. Stir until cheese is melted and has created a delicious sauce and then enjoy! It’s also nice to substitute the bacon for smoked chicken.

What I love most about Freshly Picked is the quality of the moccs. I’ve purchased others and although they serve the same purpose, the quality just does not come close to matching Freshly Picked. They truly stand out from other moccasin shops because of their experience. It’s like the iOS updates. You can’t get the best version unless you’ve gone through all the rest. 🙂
