Landyn is 4

I am not sure why Landyn’s birthday is an emotional one for me…

Maybe it’s having been away from her for two days leading up to today. Maybe it’s another year older and how far we’ve come. Regardless, it’s safe to say my last night in Mammoth was spent reflecting on the past four years and so much change that has taken place. Maybe it’s me clinging tightly to the right now and wanting her forever as my baby.

4 years ago today I was given a title that forever changed the way I viewed life. Landyn made me “momma” and gave me a gift that any mom knows, proves day after day to be your most beautiful challenge. A gift that involves having your heart walk around outside your body…every single day. It’s a learn as you go, good day bad day, patience is a virtue kind of thing.

And today my fiery, determined, happy spirited, energetic, funny, adaptable, animal loving little lady turns 4. She has blossomed so much in this past year and as a mother there is nothing more you could wish for.

Happy Birthday Landyn. I always knew it was my lives purpose to be a momma and having just YOU these past four years has allowed me to give you a special kind of love. You have taught me so much about life and continue to stretch me daily.
