Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

A delightful treat for a crisp fall day.Ā 

Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

Ingredients for soup mix:

1/4 c lentils

2 tbsp dried onion flakes

1 1/2 tbsp chicken bouillon granules

1/2 tsp dried dill weed

1/8 tsp celery seed

1/8 tsp garlic powder

1 c egg noodles

1 bay leaf

Ingredients for soup:

1 1/2 c raw carrots

2 c cooked shredded rotisserie chicken

Directions:

Bring 8 cups of water to a boil.

Stir in all soup mix ingredients.

Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 25 mins.

Discard bay leaf and stir in carrots and chicken.

Simmer for 5-10 minutes until carrots are tender and chicken is heated through.

**Add salt and pepper to taste**

Even my picky eater loved this meal. ENJOY!
