Look what my oven baked for me this weekend?
I love the combination of pecans and fall harvest jam in these delicious seasonal cookies.
Fall Harvest Thumbprints
1 1/2 c whole pecans
1 c flour
1 stick butter
4 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
powdered sugar
Fall Harvest Jam
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Crush pecans (using a stand alone mixer) until they are grain like.
Add butter, flour, sugar, salt, vanilla. Mix well.
Scoop 1 tsp balls of dough.
Place on a nonstick baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
Using thumb, place a indent into center of ball.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Once cool, sprinkle cookies with powdered sugar.
Fill the center of cookies with a Fall jam of choice.
Enjoy!
